The new Transportation and Storage building will house and maintain nearly 175 MTA buses and provide fueling, washing and dispatching functions. It will also house administrative offices and operator support facilities. The fully enclosed building will reduce noise, bus emissions and vehicle visibility to the surrounding community.

The work involves demolition of the existing facility building and site followed by construction of the new Bus Storage Facility on the former Kirk Bus Division Site. Additionally, the bus transportation functions will be housed in this facility to include dispatch, locker rooms, assembly rooms, and administrative spaces. Fuel storage tanks, emergency generator, and facilities maintenance will be located in adjacent structures. Exterior to the building, the site will include limited parking and delivery access for the fuel storage tanks.

D2 is providing backfiling, excavation, site clearing, sediment and erosion controls measures.
